Overview

Pranayama consists of breath-work exercises developed by sages of ancient India. The correct practice of pranayama brings immediate relaxation to the mind and body in the short term, and its dedicated practice over time is life changing for most. Today there is a lot of science to back the many benefits of pranayama. ‘Prana’ means lifeforce, the basis of which is the breath. ‘Ayama’ means to regulate or lengthen. When the quality of the prana is high, there is balance of mind and good health. Poor prana leads to blockages in the body.

One must practice pranayama on an empty stomach.
